Pick Up Beds now available for
small size pickup trucks. If you have an older Toyota pickup or other
import with serious box rust, this is the product for you. Toyota truck
beds have a serious rust problem. Nissan truck beds often have a similar
problem. Or maybe you need a new Ford Ranger truck bed. Perhaps your Chev
S-10 truck bed is shot. Or you want your small work truck to have a box on
it that is tough enough to stand to the heavy going year after year. Or
perhaps you just want a truck that looks uniquely different. Pick Up boxes
for small trucks are for you.
Construction:
Pick Up beds are a seriously
tough product! They are build with a a stepside design; you can walk on
the side of this box including the fenders. These replacement beds are
made of welded steel and tube construction, to not only look good, but to
take whatever you need to do to them. The floor is 12 gauge steel plate
over 2x2" tubular subframe. Box sides and front are 16 gauge. Fenders
and double wall tailgate are 14 gauge steel.

Fit:
Currently
available ready to install for Toyota shortbeds 79-93. Longbeds 84-88.
Replacement boxes are available for any truck with a box front to axle
center length of 33" to 38". This includes Toyota, Nissan, Ford
Ranger, Chev, and others. Mazda boxes vary by year and style and must be
checked.
Installation:
Available ready to
install 79-93 Toyota short box pickups and
84-88 Longbeds. For other makes and models Pick Up boxes for small
trucks are sent in a semi assembled generic form which will fit most
truck types. The center three cross tubes can be repositioned for
fit around subfloor obstacles such as shock mounts, fuel tank
sensors, etc. Box mounts require positioning before final welding to
bed subframe. Wiring hookup is last. Any small welding or
autobody shop should be able to do the install for you.
Kits:
Pick Up box kits are an
interesting project for those who like to do their own thing. Basic
MIG welding and aptitude with steel work is required. Everything
needed is supplied and many parts are precut or assembled for you.
Allow a good couple of weekends though, it takes a fair amount of
time.
If you are into doing a
custom bed, such as a shorty "bobbed bed" version the kit
is easy to modify to your personal taste. For example the little red
82 on our home page is shortened and has welded on lower body panels
for a more rounded look. Click on the pics for a better look.
Basic Product:

mounting bolts, removable tailgate, and hardware preinstalled. Truck
type rubber vibration mount tail and turn lights. Inside tie-down
