1) Use the cable lubricant on the
full length of the cable: DO NOT LUBRICATE CABLE ENDS. DO NOT OVER
LUBRICATE. Be careful not to kink cable
2) Its best to follow the
original routing path as closely as possible. Be sure that casing does not
contact shark edges or heat sources such as the exhaust pipe. DO NOT MAKE
SHARP BENDS IN CABLE. (NOTE: Some cable assemblies are longer than
original equipment. Use this extra length to make wider turns and avoid
heat sources.)
3) Wherever installations require
the use of grommets. clips or retainers these should be removed from the
old casing and reused with the new assembly. These parts seldom need
replacement and are not included with most cable assemblies.
CAUTION: Cable is coiled under
tension, Be careful when opening to avoid injury.
